David Griffis

David grew up in Orlando, Florida in the Conway area.  Growing up he always wanted to take anything mechanical apart to see how it worked.  In middle school, David took a small engine class and being repairing all of the neighbors’ lawnmowers in a small shed in his parent’s backyard.  When he was older he worked for a wrecker service and the neighborhood Mobil station, where both owners were very customer driven.  When David was out of school, he started to work at a dealership and continued to work for Central Florida Dealerships for over 20 years.  David always wanted to open his own shop because he felt that customers at the dealership did not get the customer service that they paid for.  In July 2010 he opened a shop and accomplished a childhood dream of owning his own business.  David has achieved the highest Ford and ASE certifications in the automotive business.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and two boys.

We CAN service your vehicle under warranty!

True or false: Until your vehicle is out-of-warranty, it must be serviced by the new car dealer or the factory warranty will be void.  Although you may have answered “true,” the correct answer is “false.”  We CAN SERVICE your vehicle if it is under warranty right here at our shop where you can get fast service and highly trained technicians!  We'd love to take care of it for you.

It’s the law that independent repair shops can provide the services to maintain your new car warranty. Consumers are protected by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which prohibits a manufacturer from voiding the vehicle warranty because service was done by a non-dealer.

Is your driving severe?

Things change, including the way we use our cars, how we drive them and the condition of our roads. Although normal driving is defined as steady driving in non-extreme weather or environments, for most motorists today, being a severe driver is more the rule than the exception.  Severe driving refers to:

  • Stop-and-go traffic
  • Short commutes
  • Heavier loads: cargo, passenger or towing a trailer
  • Rough or mountainous roads
  • Dusty or salty environments
  • Driving in extremely hot or cold weather

Keep it longer - take simple steps.

More and more people are keeping their vehicles longer as the average age of a car on the road today is more than 11 years. Considering the cost of a new car is about $31,000 on average, deciding to keep your car rather than buying a new one makes financial sense, says the non-profit Car Care Council.  The Car Care Council offers sensible steps to help motorists maintain their vehicles for safety, dependability and value.  Some steps are easy like getting the vehicle serviced regularly and just keeping it clean!
